1987 - Padua House opens in Long Beach with 11 beds to provide high quality hospice care to individuals in the last six months of life.
1989 - Pioneer Home opened in Van Nuys with 5 beds which offers residential care.
1990 - Project New Hope was incorporated to develop permanent affordable housing with supportive services and providing computer skills and job training for homeless and at-risk individuals and families living with HIV/AIDS.
1992 - The New Hope Computer Learning Center opens in Los Angeles with 23 computer stations.
1995 - Our House became part of the group home division focusing on clients with HIV and substance abuse/mental health issues.
1998 - Jack H. Plimpton New Hope Apartments opens in Silverlake with 14 units, Callahan & De Fields New Hope Apartment opens in San Pedro with 10 units for individuals and families with children.
1999 - Rick Weiss New Hope Apartments opens in Santa Monica with 25 units, Tripp House opened in San Pedro with 4 units, both for individuals and families with children. |

2000 - Project New Hope and Homestead Hospice and Shelter merge to provide “continuum of care” including transitional housing, hospice care, employment services and independent living. Nyumba Apartments opens in South Los Angeles with 12 units for individuals and families with children.
2001 - Hoover Apartments opens in Los Angeles with 21 units for individuals and families with children.
2005 - Faith Housing New Hope Courtyard Apartment opens in South Los Angeles with 24 units for individuals and families with children.
2007 - Laguna Senior Apartments open in Los Angeles with 23 units dedicated to Seniors (55 and over) with disabilities. 65 units are developed in total for seniors 55 and over with low income. |
