Darcel is best known for her role as principal dancer and star of the hit television series "Solid Gold". Every week for six years, Darcel danced her way into our homes with the finesse, vitality and sensuality of a confident woman. Darcel's presence on "Solid Gold" brought diversity to national television and inspired women, dancers and people of color to dream bigger. Darcel's success continued in film and on Broadway with Xanadu, The Great White Hope, Mme, Scrooge, The Last Two Married Couples, "Night Shift", "Funny Girl" and " Jesus Christ Superstar.
Today Darcel is an accomplished choreographer, dance and fitness instructor, author, producer, and motivational speaker. She is a longtime advocate for using dance and fitness as a medium of therapy, inspiration, transformation and empowerment for women of all ages and backgrounds.
Darcel is currently the director of "Funk Fusion", a unique dance compnay featuring seasoned women ages 30 to 60+. She is the author of "Darcel solid Gold", a memoir of her life behind the scenes of "Solid Gold", being married to a legendary Temptaion and how she used dance to heal the wounds of sexual assault and domestic violence and acheived true happiness.
